Whether it’s fire, or one of these other warm weather damages, you might need home restoration!

After a mild winter and an unpredictable spring, your house might be in need of home restoration. Summer is just getting underway, so before temperatures begin to climb to unbearable levels, get your home fixed up as soon as you can. Here at North Arundel Contracting, we’re happy to handle whatever restoration needs you may require. Read on to learn more about damages from warmer weather that call for home restoration.

Possible Reasons You Need Home Restoration

  • Damage to Your Roof: Fallen trees and wild weather can knock the shingles right off your roof. Check on the tiles, and be sure to stay safe while climbing around up there. Any time a storm hits, it’s a good idea to check on the condition of your roof after it subsides. You never know when the roof could cave in, and you don’t want it to happen when you least expect it.
  • Heat Damage: Summer is when you can expect scorching temperatures, especially here in Maryland and particularly around the suburban Baltimore area. High temperatures tend to wreak havoc on your house’s foundations, as well as on walls and on pipes, too. Cracks that go unaddressed will spread and widen, and cause much more damage than if they are promptly patched up once discovered.
  • Damages from Water: Water damage is also common during the late spring and early summer. Moisture and humidity levels are only going to skyrocket as the weather gets warmer. Storms can cause bubbling and leaks in your roof. Also, be aware of puddles. While it might be fun to go splashing around in them, if water gets inside your home it’s no laughing matter. Storms can also cause flooding, and flooding water can get trapped in your basements.
  • Caulk and Siding Cracking Open:  The caulk in and around the exteriors of your home can crack and burst. Keep an eye on your windows and doors, since those are the spots where water is mostly like to enter your home. After it rains, look for signs of warps or stains. These signs indicate some level of damage to your windows and doors.
